Pop-Up Inclusion Matters Seminar Series: Women & Spinouts

Too few women researchers are leading spinout companies and there has not been enough attention focused on the progression of women researchers at all career stages on the entrepreneurial pathway from research to spinout leadership. Oxford Brookes University in collaboration with the University of Oxford and Vitae have been funded by EPSRC under its Inclusion Matters call to undertake a project to identify barriers and enabling factors that exist for women in STEM in key stages of the spinout process.

This seminar with showcase research into university spinout companies with an emphasis on gender inclusion.

As well as sharing findings and recommendations from our recent and forthcoming research reports this session will encourage participants to think about academic entrepreneurship as part of their own career pathway by identifying potential barriers and enablers in their institution and beyond.
