Do great minds think alike? Our first seminar will focus on modern slavery – a growing global problem that technology can both exacerbate and alleviate. The event will explore why the world desperately needs international collaboration across law, AI and ethics to address the problem, focusing specifically on the capacity of current law enforcement systems to track and arrest perpetrators of human trafficking and online exploitation. Experts from the Turing and the Dickson Poon School of Law (King’s College London) will discuss the challenges facing the fields of AI and law in fighting modern slavery, and the exciting potential for multidisciplinary collaboration.
