Problem Cardiac electrophysiology is the study and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. Although vast quantities of data are collected during routine treatment of electrophysiology patients, these data are not used to guide patient management beyond individual procedures. Data collected during these procedures describes, in detail, cardiac anatomy, motion, structure and function and could therefore be used for prognostication and personalised patient treatment. SolutionWe are using these data to create digital twins for the treatment of atrial fibrillation, allowing the evaluation of personalised therapy, prior to its application in patients. Our system facilitates the integration of patient data from a variety of device manufacturers, and their assembly into a large datasets, providing the foundations for personalised electrophysiology treatment, and predictive algorithms.
