Lola cares is building a digital companion for loved ones in care, helping them reminisce, stay connected with loved ones, and improve the quality of their care. Problem Image The adult social care sector is facing massive pressure from an ageing population, compounded by difficulties with staff retention and funding. Older adults in care are lonely and isolated and feel disconnected from their family and friends. Over 60% of those people are living with dementia, an awful disease with no cure. Existing proven therapeutic interventions for dementia, such as reminiscence therapy, are not delivered regularly for most of those people due to constraints on carer time.
