Airspection is developing tough, endurance drones that can launch from accessible locations, fly to remote infrastructure, conduct inspections, and then return. We fly our drones to hard-to-reach locations so inspection teams don't have to. Improving safety, reliability and environment impact.

So far we have we have won several awards and grants, manufactured and tested 2 prototypes with demonstrations planned on a turbine, filled a patent and are now seeking to raise our first round of investment by Q2 2024.

About Me

Hi I am Matthew, I have a background in Aero-mechanical engineering. Graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2022. I enjoy robotics and it's use to solve problems. I am also a bagpiper and play for weddings and events (which helped fund the business at the start). I have been working on Airspection for the past 18 months as Managing director and Chris, my cofounder joined the company 6 months ago and is working as Technical director. Chris has a background in Aero-mechanical engineering (also graduating from the university of Strathclyde in 2022) and data science.

Currently to inspect remote infrastructure such as powerlines, offshore wind turbines, oil rigs, and pipelines, poses significant logistical and safety challenges. In some cases, helicopters are used and more often inspection teams must be transported to these locations, involving considerable time, expense, environmental impact, and risks to personnel.

Current drone solutions don't provide the range combined with hover time to allow inspection teams to launch the drones from safe environments and fly to remote infrastructure.

Market

Airspection's beachhead market is the offshore wind turbine inspection market.

Our drones are also ideal for all remote infrastructure inspection, such as offshore oil rigs, pipelines, dams, and power line inspections.
