The Bayes Partnership and Affiliate Membership programmeThe Bayes Partnership and Affiliate Membership programme is open to businesses looking to locate themselves in an innovation environment to help develop new ideas or solve creative problems working with our extensive network of academics and students in areas such as AI, machine learning, natural language processing, blockchain, robotics and autonomous systems. We work closely with our Partners and Affiliate Members to help develop their relationship with the University and provide access to academic and research expertise, students and other collaborating partner organisations.There are two different co-location models depending on your organisation’s needs.Affiliate MembershipAs an Affiliate Member we offer you access to our bookable desks in the Bayes Centre. The membership subscription has a monthly subscription charge and thereafter you simply pay for the desks you book. This option often suits businesses who are right at the start of their development journey or are looking to locate a small team in Edinburgh. The minimum commitment of Affiliate Membership is 6 months and the cost is £65 + VAT per month (billed in advance) and £15 + VAT per desk booked (billed in arrears). Additional members are charged at £32.50 per additional user.Please note there is a minimum of 2 users and up to a maximum of 6 users under a Membership.Please note that Membership pricing will be updated from 1 August 2025 to £75 per month + VAT. Pricing will thereafter be reviewed on an annual basis with the next review taking place in 2026.PartnershipAs a Partner you will have the opportunity to lease a permanent desk in our open space or a dedicated office space, dependant on your needs. In addition to your dedicated space, we give you access to our bookable desks (for an additional cost) allowing you to flex your footprint as and when you need it.The cost of partnership starts around £315 +VAT per month but will depend on the space and location needed.Application processTo become a Partner or Affiliate Member, you need to complete an application form providing details of your business and how you are looking to work with the University.
