Problem

Dementia is increasingly prevalent and the biggest unmet medical need of our society.
The impact on individuals is profound, often leading to a loss of independence and quality of life. For families and caregivers, the emotional and financial burden can be overwhelming. Unfortunately, rising dementia numbers represent unrealistic challenges for the NHS.

Solution

WellBrain’s technology uses EEG (electroencephalography), a non-invasive method that records the electrical activity of the brain, and combines it with novel computational methods. Unlike traditional diagnostic tools, our EEG technology is comfortable, quick and easy to use, allowing individuals to undergo regular brain health checkups without the stress and inconvenience of more invasive procedures.

By monitoring brain signalling and function regularly, WellBrain’s innovative method is being developed to detect early signs of dementia-related changes long before noticeable symptoms appear. This early detection is crucial, as it opens the door to timely and effective intervention strategies that can slow the progression of dementia and enhance cognitive function.
