ProblemAdolescents and young adults diagnosed with brain tumours face complex challenges that go beyond clinical treatment. They often experience disruptions in education, emotional distress such as anxiety and isolation, and a lack of tailored digital tools that integrate psychological and spiritual support. Current health and social care systems are fragmented, leaving young patients and their families without comprehensive, age-appropriate resources. This gap results in reduced quality of life, difficulties in treatment adherence and long-term psychosocial impacts.Solution SABRAIN was developed as part of Yazmin Cáceres’s MSc in Digital Health Systems, addressing the unique needs of adolescents and young adults diagnosed with brain tumours. The app provides a comprehensive digital support system that integrates four dimensions: clinical guidance to help manage treatment, emotional support to reduce anxiety and isolation, educational tools to stay connected with learning and spiritual resources to strengthen resilience and wellbeing.By combining these elements in one accessible platform, SABRAIN empowers young patients to better navigate their diagnosis, improve quality of life and maintain hope during treatment. The vision is to create a trusted digital companion that bridges gaps in health and social care, ensuring that support is holistic, age-appropriate and personalised.ContactYazmin Caceres | LinkedInSABRAIN LinkedIn This article was published on 2025-10-28
