Despite procurement’s pivotal role in driving growth and profitability, many companies remain stuck with fragmented systems, manual processes, and outdated tools that fail to provide timely, accurate insights.Recognising these pain points, Sensecloud was founded by Vinod Sharma along with a diverse team of procurement experts, AI researchers, and technologists dedicated to reshaping how businesses approach procurement analytics. Vinod is the Founder and CEO of Sensecloud. He has 23 years of experience as a founder and operator of seed, series A, and late-stage businesses, including the past 13 years in procurement analytics. He holds an engineering degree from a prestigious institute in India and a graduate degree in business (MBA) from MIT Sloan School of Management in USA. We want to build an incredibly powerful decision intelligence platform that empowers any procurement professional to master complex data management and analysis within 15 minutes, achieving 95% data accuracy. We don’t know exactly how to do that yet. It’s technically challenging and ambitious.So, we had two paths to choose from. One was to layer dashboards over the data and rely on humans in the backend to clean and process it. We could do that, but that’s what everyone else is doing, and we don’t want to be just another data platform. The second path was to design advanced machine learning models with the goal of embedding them directly into our platform, even if they aren’t ready for full integration right now. Today, our models achieve around 70% accuracy.The next step is to enhance those models, continuously improve accuracy, and refine the learning algorithms. From there, we’ll focus on seamless integration—making sure our AI-driven platform becomes intuitive, scalable, and reliable. Ultimately, we want to eliminate the need for human intervention altogether, allowing procurement teams to make better decisions, faster, and with total confidence.
