Bayes Centre community member ZZCOMM provides rapid and high accuracy geospatial data for BIM, mining AEC, survey and mapping industries, whether they are indoor, outdoor or even underground - all without GPS navigation. The Journey Image Established in 2017, ZZCOMM has experienced significant growth since it launched with the development of new products and expansion of the company. The company has an exciting range of products including mobile imaging LiDAR Scanner hardware and software technologies development, surveying and mapping, sales of instruments for navigation, surveying and mapping, meteorology and special marine instruments. In 2018, they expanded their product range as they released the first long-range high-precision LiDAR system for applications such as geographic information, forestry census, power line patrol, high-precision map, surveying and mapping. Another milestone was in 2021 where the company released their first portable Lidar inertial navigation tightly coupled 3D SLAM system Cybermap with independent intellectual property rights. Following that, in 2022, ZZCOMM expanded beyond China and were delighted to set up their first research and development centre at the University of Edinburgh's Bayes Centre. The company's founder graduated from the University of Edinburgh 10 years ago. Looking to the future, the company has ambitions to expand their marketing, research and development activities globally in the coming years, starting in Scotland and looking to expand across Europe.
