Around one in two experience significant problems with emotion regulation, which can lead to depression, anxiety, peer conflict and risky behaviours such as substance use. Yet there are currently no scalable, evidence-based psychosocial interventions designed specifically to support this group. What is your idea? This project is being developed by a research team that includes Aja Murray, who originally proposed the idea for the app, along with Ingrid Obsuth and Daria Melashenko. In collaboration with young people from 11 to 15 who have ADHD and clinicians who work with this population, the team is creating an engaging and accessible tool for building emotion regulation skills. The app combines evidence-based psychological content with interactive design and gamified elements to teach practical strategies for understanding and managing emotions.
